Are you ready to take courage and be confident in your Business?

Have you ever been in a situation where you’re scared to do something, but did it anyway? For a lot of us, taking that leap into self-employment and starting our own business was one of those situations where we felt our confidence and courage needed to be higher, but we leapt anyway.

I know there are many of you who are on the early stages of that leap, scared to take a step forward, in case you made a wrong move or did something but ‘failed’. I wanted therefore, to share some insights on courage and confidence with you, to help make your journey a less stressful, more confident one.

Sometimes the reason we procrastinate over something is we are scared of the actual success we seek – if that’s you – you might want to take a quick read of this blog.

Courage is all you need

The one thing you need, to propel you forward and to take any form of action, is courage.

Having the courage to make a decision and take the steps to implement it, will move you forward. You’ve decided to start your own VA business (these are the things you need to consider) – great! I bet that feels both scary and exciting. Now, what do you need to take the first action step? What do you need to find the courage to do, to move it forward?

Think back to how you felt, after you took a courageous step forward. Whatever decision you made and acted upon, I’m guessing immediately after, you felt amazing!

Yes, you may have felt exhausted or relieved after you took that action. I’m guessing you also felt that adrenaline pumping through your system and you felt awesome too. In fact, I’d go as far as saying you felt incredibly proud of yourself and, in that moment, you felt good about yourself and your ability to do something courageous.

Confidence follows courage

In other words, you gave your confidence a big boost.

If you want to take your business forward, you need to remember – your confidence and self-worth are boosted, when you do courageous things.

There are a lot of people out there who talk about needing to have the confidence to do something. ‘I wish I had the confidence to go it alone.’ ‘I wish I had the confidence to go for bigger clients.’ ‘I wish I had the confidence to record a livestream or post a video on Facebook’. In any of these situations, it isn’t confidence you need – it’s the courage to take the action.

Make courage your daily habit

Build the habit of doing something courageous into your daily actions and both you and your business will grow in leaps and bounds.

The thing with confidence and courage is they work in a self-propelling cycle. Do something courageous and your confidence increases. As your confidence grows, you’ll then find it easier to do courageous things – and the cycle continues.

So, what does this mean for your business?

Well at first, new actions you need to take, to grow your business, will feel scary. You worry about getting things wrong and worry about the outcome – what if you fail? However, if you make it a habit to ride that fear and do the scary thing anyway, you’ll start to implement the cycle of confidence and courage.

From that point onwards, every little thing you do that’s either courageous or increases your confidence, will make it easier to keep going. Everything you do to boost your courage and confidence, will help you grow and improve and, when you grow and improve – so will your business.

The only hard part is getting started. Are you willing to step courageously up and do it anyway?
